6 km from Portoferraio, the main town of Elba and the island’s main ferry port, you will find Camping Enfola: 50 charming pitches surrounded by greenery and gently sloping down to the sea.
The location is strategic, in the centre of the island and only 5 minutes from all services (port, hospital, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, etc.), yet away from the busiest tourist routes, for a relaxing holiday far from the crowds.
Enfola is characterised by one of the most striking promontories on Elba, known for its scenic beauty and historical value. Breathtaking views, lush vegetation and traces of human history alternate along a unique landscape rich in colours and scents.
On the main beach stands the old Tonnara, where fish used to be collected and processed. Closed in 1959, the Tonnara has recently been restored and now hosts the headquarters of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
From the campsite and its beach, facing south-west, you can enjoy the sun until late evening, with views stretching towards the gulfs of Procchio and Marciana Marina, Monte Capanne and Corsica.
The Island of Elba is easily reachable by car, arriving at the port of Piombino, or by train, getting off at the Piombino Marittima station.
Those who prefer to travel by plane can land at Marina di Campo Airport, with direct connections from some Italian and European cities.
Connections with the mainland are provided by ferries, which allow passengers to embark with cars or motorcycles, and by hydrofoils reserved for passengers only. The crossing takes about one hour by ferry or about 30 minutes by hydrofoil.
The campsite also participates in a special agreement for the purchase of ferry tickets.
Reaching Camping Enfola is easy. From the port of Portoferraio, simply follow the signs for “Tutte le direzioni” and, at the second roundabout, turn right following the direction “Enfola”. After about 4 km, the entrance to the campsite is directly along the road.
The campsite can also be reached by bus with the Portoferraio – Viticcio line: the nearest stop is about 800 metres away.
During the low season the service operates only in the morning.
In the summer period, approximately from mid-June to mid-September, buses run more frequently, with departures about every hour until around 21:00.
